meet our members

In 1989, Oscar Will sponsored Bill Wrench as a member to the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS. Bill has been an active member since his first day. The reason he joined was due to the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS Scholarship Program and the Amtryke Program. Bill has worked some long hours at the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS Restaurant at the South Plains Fair, which was a main fund raiser for our chapter for 60 years. Currently, Bill is our Chaplin and a member on our Finance Committee.

Bill is a retired US Air Force veteran who served 20 years. Thank you Bill for your service. He is a Finance Officer, 10 years, for a non-profit organization, and was self-employed providing bookkeeping and tax return services for 20 years. His favorite pastime is playing a good game of golf and traveling.

His wife, Karen, and Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2019. Congratulations Bill and Karen this is a wonderful milestone to achieve. They have two sons: one lives in Aspen, Colorado and their other son lives in upstate New York.

Bill reports his goal is to remain active with his family and with the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS. Bill is such a great guy and a long-time member of the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS.

We are so grateful to have Bill Wrench as a member of our Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS Team, and whether you're a long-time Lubbock resident or a newcomer, if you, too, would like to learn more about our mission and see about joining our Team, just JOIN US at one of our regular Monday Lunches at the McKenzie/MERKET Alumni Center on the Teach Campus.
