Meet Our Members: Pam Sweeten-1

• October 31, 2022

Pam Sweeten joined the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS, April 30, 2019. She was sponsored by her good friend, Kadee Harcrow who is also a member of this chapter of AMBUCS.

When asked why she joined Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS, Pam stated there were several reasons. First, the mission statement and how you this chapter of AMBUCS helps the less fortunate with the therapeutic AMTRYKES. Secondly, her daughter would have been able to benefit from an AMTRYKE and Pam would have liked to have seen what difference it would have made in daughter and in her family’s life. Thirdly, the incredible scholarships Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS gives to therapy students to assist in their achieving their potential and having an impact in our Lubbock community and South Plains Region.

Pam works with Paramount Broadcasting Corporation. PBC is home of All Ag News, the only station in Texas doing providing only ag radio! PCB also is home of the West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard Show heard on 50+ stations, from the state line to Interstate 10 and Interstate 35, back to New Mexico.

In addition, Pam is the founder of the U&I Women’s Conference www.UandIconference.com bringing women together to be uplifted and inspired to find their purpose and impact in their community.

Interesting facts about Pam, “I’m a child of parents who moved west as children and how I’ve moved east as has my son who is a Texas Tech graduate in 2010. I’ve served and been involved in many nonprofits both locally, regionally, and at the national level. God has put me here to serve others and I try to fulfil this daily.”

Pam’s favorite pastimes involve the time spent enjoying the little people in her life, volunteering at the Ranching Heritage Center, and living a life God has blessed her with.

Pam’s children are Martin Shaw and Heather Morgan Shaw. Her son, Martin Shaw resides in St. Hedwig with his wife Kelsey. Martin and Kelsey have three children Harper, Hattie Rose, and Hyatt.  Pam’s daughter, Heather Morgan Shaw is deceased.

When asked what her goal is, Pam stated she wants to make an impact on the community that God has brought her to serve.

Once Pam joined the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS, she immediately became active in serving. Pam obtains speakers for our Monday Luncheon Meetings and her ability to consistently provide quality speakers week after week is amazing! People who visit our club will express how they learned something new, or they didn’t know Lubbock had such outstanding speakers. Thank you, Pam for your talent to obtain these amazing speakers!
